Chemical peels are perfect for treating a wide range of concerns such as acne, pigmentation and aging. The exfoliating chemical loosens the bonds between cells, forcing shed and cell turn over in various degrees, or levels. A consultation is recommended before treatment. For optimal results, 3-4 chemical peels are recommended.
Results vary between chemical peel strength. Specifics after care instructions will be giving at your appointment before treatment. Regardless of chemical level, all treatments require no direct sun exposure 48 hours before, and 5-10 days after treatment. Sunscreen use is required. Picking or disrupting peeling process can cause unwanted pigmentation and other complications. Other exfoliation options are available if you feel as though you can not help but pick.
