Dermaplaning is performed with a surgical blade, and can be done 'dry' or 'oiled', also called oil-planning. The blade is used to shave and scale off dead skin cells and 'peach fuzz' revealing fresh new cells resulting in glowing, smooth skin. This treatment is not for all skin types, a consultation is recommended.
Like all exfoliation treatments, sunscreen is required post treatment. Direct sun exposure, certain AHA's and BHA's, and other exfoliants should be avoided for a few days. Vellus hair, or peach fuzz, can not grow back darker and thicker.
